Created (a "duplication" and "homemade creation" of the out of the book Area Tag) the attached "Area Tag w Occupancy" Family, intended to be added to an Area Plan that shows the Level ("Level"), Name ("Assembly", "Business". etc.), Area (693 SF Net), Comments (Assigned Factor from the applicable building code used, like "15 SF Net" for Assembly, for example), and Number (47 People). When this modified tag is added to the Area Pla, I will have to fill some of the text and number in this Area Floor Plan. In the "Schedule" that can be created using this Tag, the Level will show on which floor of a multi-story building each of line represents.
However, I will like to add to the Tag a parameter that shows the hatching used on the Area Plan to indicate the Occupancy Type, like for example, Assembly which can have a crossed hatch, and Business that can have a diagonal hatch to the left, etc. Prefer hatching to colors, since this hatching is to be used on the Area Plans that are to be plotted for the Life Safety Plan of a set of prints made in only black and white.
Question: How to add the hatching "parameter" to the Tag so it:
1. will follow the same hatching pattern added to the area plan for this purpose?
2. So the hatching also shows on the Schedule like the other parameters. Of course, it will be great if this field shown on the Schedule can be hidden at will?
Thanks in advance.
