There's a table in the building code that needs to be completed for every project, and it seems so close to something Revit can handle.
The current and less than efficient way of filling it out is with text and using filled regions on elevations to get areas, of walls, windows, etc. But that can change with design and need to be redone.
If I wanted to use a schedule, I'd have to add a slew of parameters, and hope that everyone models their exposed walls by Unit, which wouldn't work well either.
I'm just wondering if anyone handles this differently, how do you get a wall area and a percentage of window openings... Or should I be setting up a view template to really make those filled regions pop?
Thanks so much!

Are you asking how to schedule window-to-wall ratio? Openings in general can be deduced through a calculated parameter in Wall Schedule. (Area-(Length*Unconnected Height))/Area. If you just want to find WTW; Phasing Walls is helpful because then you can give Wall Infills a Mark which then can be used to differentiate the Window from Door Host Walls.
There are several other ways, but I'm not even sure that is what you are asking about because of the "pop" question.
