How do you edit toposolids, and keep their shape?

If you do everything right on the first try, great, but what if you need to change something?

Last time I had a similar question, someone suggested not moving sketch lines but aligning them. That time it worked, but that is obviously on a case by case basis.

How do you edit them, just recreate everything from scratch?

Any easy way to do it?

I thought I'd copy the original toposolid to the same place and keep it as a "base for fixing the edited one", but as far as I can tell you can't snap to the surface of another toposolid.

Revit 2025 allows you to snap

Unfortunately only on edges of other elements, not on their faces, which is what would help to get the edited toposolid to the same points as the one underneath it.
