How do you edit a curtain panel assembly?

Hi guys,

I'm a beginner in assembling components in Revit, but I'm using it to generate curtain window schedules. Let's say I create a schedule with dimensioned views, but then I realize I need to modify the grids in the curtain windows. Is there a way to edit the assembly of the curtain window without deleting the views in the process?

Thanks.

Let's get some terminology straight.  Did you create Assembly and Assembly views from the curtain wall's components?  Either way, you don't need to delete views to modify curtain grids.  Just tab to select the grid on an elevation and edit it.

Hi,

Thats correct. I created an assembly based on the curtain panels and mullions.

Unfortunately, I am unable to modify the curtain wall or adjust the grids once it's been made as an assembly.

You have edit it from a model view, not from an assembly view because curtain grids are not in the assembly.  Just tab on the grid until it is highlighted then you can move or change its dimension.

If you edit it from the model view, and the assembly has already been copied elsewhere, it will create a new assembly instead of modifying all the others.
