How do I remove the line between existing and new walls in proposed elevations?

My first project in Revit and I have a few questions:

1) I'm removing a door and infilling the opening.  When I demolish the door Revit infills the opening for me.  The only problem is, I see the lines of the former opening in the new elevations.  I'm sure there is an easy solution for this so it views as a continuous wall?

2) I have an existing partition that ends at 8'-0" and currently doesn't go all the way to the vaulted ceiling.  For the new construction I'm bringing the wall to meet the vaulted ceiling.  In the new elevations I see the line where the existing wall stops (at 8'-0" AFF) and the new wall begins.  How do I hide this line so it views as a continuous wall like it will be when finished?

Set the Phase filter of the view to Show Complete

Thanks for the response RDAOU.  The phase filter is set to "Show Complete" and the Phase is "New Construction".  I've attached the Existing plan, the new plan, and the elevation (that is showing the incorrect lines).  The walls seem to be joined.  Thanks for your help!

  • Make sure they are same material
  • Change cut plane height to cut through the new wall to ceiling and check wall joins
  • Make sure the Show Complete filter is set to show previous and new by category

Once can keep guessing but best is if you would attach the Revit file
