Hi im fairly new to revit so apologies if this is basic: I have this gap how can I join it? I have tried join elements but for some reason nothing changes as it seems to think it’s all part of the same element

Join it how? I don't understand anything from your screenshot. You know you can post the RVT here. That might be better.
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! Ive attached the rvt, I hope that makes things clearer... If u can see the gap -im trying to have it as one continuous spiral.
I still don't get what you want to do. I see hinge lines demarking changes in slope of a shape-edited monolithic floor, but no "ramps" (e.g. System Family Ramps) or "gaps".
BTW: I did notice that you have a floor overlapping another. FWIW.
Ok so I think perhaps my terminology is incorrect - the monolithic slope has a point (as you correctly said) over laps another floor - at this overlap there is a gap between the floor which I would like to connect.
I have no idea what you're trying to do but I don't think you're going about it the right way.
Using a floor element and modifying the sub-elements is a very fiddly way to create a ramp. Try the ramp tool. It will align itself to the levels you have created. If you're sure about using the method you currently have I'd recommend making betting use fo the levels in your project instead modifying the floor...
I doubt you're going to be able to get there with a Ramp. My suggestion would be to create an In-Place Mass and shape its surface smooth. That's the only part of the Mass you are concerned with. Once you get it looking nice, Finish and close out of Massing environment and apply a Roof by Mass Face to the surface or surfaces of the Mass.
That's fair. I still don't know exactly what they're trying to achieve, so I'll leave this to you.
