So currently I am working on a house project for my local high schools architecture class; i had gotten all the walls up and everything when I looked at the drawing in the 3D view, and then the bell rang, I saved it in the 3D view... however now that I have reopened it, it opened in the 3D view, of course, but how do I go back to just the floor plan drawings?
Note: when i try to close out of the 3D window it just closes the whole project.

You always need a view open otherwise the project closes.
Double click on your plan view in the project browser and it will open.
After opening the plan view you may close your 3D View. It is not uncommon to have several views open. It is good practice to keep only limited number of views open because too many open views because will impact performance

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.
Thanks!! Now how would I go about getting to the browser? I am using the educational version, I know that auto desk does have some restrictions on their educational software; not sure if that is the case for me.
The educational software is (almost/exactly?) the same as the regular version.
The most important difference between the two versions is the license.

Having the same problem and the above answer is entirely unhelpful.
The problem is HOW TO GET BACK TO PROJECT BROWSER so that we can click on plan view

Do you not see the Browser?
