How do I control the height of the text lines in a schedule or key legend?

Are there controls for the text in Revit Schedules and Key Legends?  We understand how to change the text size, that isn't the struggle.

We would like to have an option beyond "very tight" and "add a big clunky blank line that wastes the page".  Is there a way to add a bit of space above and below the text within the text controls?  If not, is there a way to control the size of the rows we leave blank?  We would like them to be much smaller than a full sized row.

Thank You

Nardo

No and no.  Sorry, it's a limitation of schedules/Revit.  You don't have that level of control (row height, etc.).

Can I reduce the line spacing on Room Tags?

When the room name is too big, it automatically adjust it to be shown in 2 lines, but I would like to compress the lines together to give more visibility of small rooms, otherwise, the room name is over the wall. I would also like to bring the room number close to the text.

Right now it looks beautiful, but it is very space consuming. I need to compress it. Reduce the overall height of a room tag.

if you want to change the spacing between the multiple rows of the Name Label ,then , I think that the solution could be a workaround : use two Labels instead of one on two rows.

Following this idea, I would create a Shared Parameter ( Text) for a second row of the name:

  • in Room Tag Family > Manage > Settings >Shared Parameters > create a file, group (RN) and a New Text Parameter (RN2row)
  • create a New Label - Edit Label >Add > select the shared parameter created before (RN2row) and Add Parameter to Label
  • Load into Project
  • in Project >Manage >Settings >Project Parameters >Add >Parameter Properties >Parameter Type >Shared Parameters - choose parameter (RN2row) - Categories >Rooms
  • Create a Room Schedule and add the Field (RN2row)
  • In Room Schedule edit in (RN2row) column the room second names...

Thank you for your time for the long explanation.

However, I do know how to create labels and parameters.

Your solution is more like - Going back to AutoCRAP ways...

No, thank you.

I just need a height parameter for line spacing on texts!

You can also create a new parameter on the room schedule for name=1st + 2nd line parameter and keep both together. But why would I go through all that trouble? Really need that line height parameter...
