How do I change the properties of a brace

I need to use Welded Wide Flange for my brace, but I need it to be 10x26 but there are no options for that. What do I need to do to make it 10x26?

If there is no Type for it ("Types" are the list of options which are in the drop-down menu at the top of your Properties palette), then you can create a new Type. Use the Edit Type button on your Properties palette, then click the "Duplicate" button on the right side of the menu which pops up and rename the new Type to "10 x 26" or whatever you want (the name must be unique to this Family). The family has a bunch of parameters which you can then change to fit the 10 x 26 size. A quick Google search will likely give you the necessary info for such a beam's size if you do not already have it available.

See this article for the Help file on this topic:

Another option is to load the family again because I believe it has a Type Catalog with it. When you load the family again, Revit may say something like "This family is already loaded." Simply say "Yes" that you want to re-load it. Then a pop-up menu will appear with what is likely a large list of Types with their information already set. You can then choose 10 x 26 if it is one of these types. If it is not, you can choose the closest size to it, then create a new type with the steps I wrote in the first paragraph.

Also, you will likely want to use the Cope tool to clean up the ends of the brace. But that is another topic.
