I have been having trouble on how to add an overhang but I know I want the overhang to be 2 ft. I don't understand how the perspective will change it so if anyone has any ideas pls let me know.

That looks like an AutoCAD drawing to me. Are you working in Revit?

Are you meaning that you want an Overhang as opposed to an Offset?  If so, use the Pick Walls tool to pick the bearing walls for the Roof when sketching the Roof Boundary.

If you model the roof by sketching the footprint then edit the sketch and offset 2ft.  If you model the roof by picking walls then select the sketch lines and enter 2ft in overhang box.
