How change the "by default" join order of the elements?

Hi everybody,

I would like to know how to change the way that Revit joins the elements by default.

How can I change this hierarchy directly without using the SwitchJoinOrder tool?

These would be the joint hierarchy I'm looking for:

Floor

Structural framing

column

wall

If not possible, is there any trustable plugin i can use for this?

Thank you in advance.

I don’t think this functionality is currently available natively in Revit.
Revit determines the default join order automatically based on the priority and strength of the elements in the model.

If needed, you can manually override this behavior using the Switch Join Order tool — but it has to be done element by element.

However, I came across a potential workaround that’s explained in the following link. You may want to take a look.

Also, there are some third-party plugins available that can help automate or control join priorities more efficiently.
