How can I see the whole revit model when using phases

Hi!

I am a beginner in phases in revit and need some help in a project I am working with.

I am working in a big project were we are several disciplines. To see each others work we need to link each others models. Now the project coordinators have decided that we need to split our models in 2 phases as the client want to build up everything in two phases. In the first phase we are showing the half of the project and all the construction walls and in the second phase we are showing the next part of the project and all the inner walls.

My problem is now, are there any ways to see everything together (the whole model)? We are still people adding objects and measure dimensions there we need to see how everything are working together. Do we need a separate phase for that? I was thinking about an existing phase or how do we do it?

My second question is; are there a commando there you can change model scenario. Like be in a scenario there I can see everything? Hope you can help me.

The thing with Revit and phasing is that it cannot see the future in other words ... so when you are in any phase you need to take that into consideration. ie: Previous and Existing

To see all that would mean you should be either in Phase 2 or a 3rd phase where all is complete (post construction)...I personally wouldn't look at Existing as a phase (same to Demo which many consider as phase) it is more like a sequence or activity if I may call it so...When you look at the Phase Graphic overrides they all refer to

  1. What came in the previous Phases (ie: Past = Demo & Existing)
  2. What comes in the Current Phase (ie: New) - New doesn't refer to the any elements to be build in the future

What you need to work with is the Phase filters and consider having a phase for post construction in which you can see all

Hi!

Yes we are using phases and then we check that my model and the other model is following the same phases. The problem is that not everyone has split their models yet.

I have now in the properties in every view change the phase filter to "none". That did I could see everything again. BUT I can still not see all the rooms. If I do a room schedule I can only see 86 rooms of 533 rooms. I can also only tag some of the rooms (the one in the scedule) When I do a space schedule I can see more rooms but no area information.

I have asked the architects and they say that they have created all the rooms in their model. So something is wrong in my model. In "Visible graphic I have checked everything in the linked model; rooms, room tags and so on. I am using the same view template I am using in a parallell twin project (with the same phases) and there are every room visible in the room schedule and I can also "tag" every room.

Is it something I have done wrong? Starting to hate this project now and I am working totally alone from my department :'( I can't share the project as we are still in the secret phase before an entrepreneur can give a price to build everything.
