Please see image

I have a surface pattern on a wall that I am trying to remove

The wall was created in a linked model

I went into the linked model, changed the material (CMU) to have no surface pattern

Relinked the model in the current model

and I have seen no changes

Am I missing something

Or is there a way I can do this in the current model with the links in it using VG

Regards

A

Go to your V/G overrides > Revit links Tab> select the link and in the far right column you should see "By Host View."

The RVT Link Display Setting Dialog box will appear. Select Custom.

Next go to Model Categories, change the drop down to custom, and then scroll down to walls and edit the surface pattern here. You can uncheck visible for these.

That should solve your issue.

I'm missing something as well if what you are saying is that changes made in the Link don't carry over the the Parent Project.  That ain't right.

Your right

I realized after I changed the cut pattern instead of the surface pattern

So it would have changed if I did it properly
