Host family driving the shared family type

Host family driving the shared family type Is there a way to do this?

I have an image annotation shared family I cannot dimension too when inserted into a host. Types can be created in the shared which have the 2 different types I need. Is it possible to have the host family drive the types?

Thanks for any help.

Could you please attach a picture, it is not entirely clear.

One remark in advance, Revit works with a parent-child relationship where parent parameters do affect the childs, but not in reverse order.

I'm not totally clear. Do you mean the host drives which nested shared family Type it uses?  You can use a "Family Types" Parameter to do that.
