Hole in toposurface!

Hi,

I have an existing toposurface,

I created a PAD set to new Construction phase.

but as a result of adding it, it's creating a Hole in the Existing Topo Phase?

I've not seen this before...

(Please see attached)

It's always been like that. If you want to preserve the existing condition, then create a Graded Region Copy to host the Building Pad.  By doing so, the Existing will be automatically demo'd in New Construction and replaced with an exact copy in the New Construction Phase.

Thanks.

It's just that you would not expect a pad created in later phase would effect a topo retrospectively (within a previous phase) ...

I copied and paste in place - in new construction phase. works as well.

I think because I have existing Pads which are linked to the initial topo (which don't get demolished) - I can't use  Graded Region, due to it keeps deleting my old topo.

I know I've had alot of headaches in the past creating pads in different phases and them not linking with the topo I needed.
