Hip roof with multiple heights

Hello!

I am trying to model the roof that is highlighted on the image below.  It is such a weird roof that do not know how to model this.  Do I use multiple roofs and create dormers?  As you can see the roof

This is what i keep getting.

I need the back fascia to be the same height as the higher fascia.

Do you have a screenshot of what the roof sketch looks like? better yet, are you able to post or send the file to be worked on?

You would need to change the slope of that side to align the eaves.  There are several ways to do that.  Three among them shown below:

- manually calculate the new (lesser) slope

- draw a flat roof and modify sub-elements to lift the peak

- draw a flat roof and use slope arrows

Hello,
So i'm not sure if I understand. But creating the roof itself is not the problem.
But the problem is the small detail where you are not able to cut of the lower part of the clipped gable roof. So that you can make fascia the same height?

For this I don't know the answer unfortunaltely. You can always make an inplace void. But I don't think this is a very desireble solution. There is also the possibility to make fascia that extends over the roof edge therefor making it the same height even though on 1 part it overlaps the roof less.

@13lemartinez

  • Roof:
    1. Main Roof: By Footprint
    2. Secondary Roof: also by footprint, Front cut with an in-place void, Offset from base as necessary
    3. Opening in main roof; Dormer

  • Fascias:
    1. You either use Foffits/lining as per images below
    2. Or on the lateral uncut sides of the roof you adjust the Fascia Depth using Two Cut - Plumb and use another horizontal void extrusion to adjust the cut at the front

Could be you were just looking for the "offset from roof base" parameter, when selecting sketch line(s) for your roof by footprint...
