Hi guys, i work in store design, and i have made some families, with a boundarie round the fixtures, made with a projection line. Is there anyway i can hide these in the project after i am done with them?
Thanks in advance
Solved! Go to Solution.
If you assigned a line style to them, you can turn them off in Visibility Graphics.
To go a bit further, you can create a filter that will look for that line style and turn it off/on too.
Im not sure if i have assigned a line style, how would i go about that please?
You have to create a subcategory in the family itself.
Go to the Manage Tab (in the family), then click on Object Styles. Click on the New button under Modify Subcategories. Assign a name for your boundary, then click OK.
Select your boundary line and in the panel change the subcategory to your new boundary category. Save and Reload back into the project.
You will see your new boundary category in the Visibility Graphics.
Go to your families, go to manage, object styles and create a new subcategory called (Projection lines or something like that) and then in the project that subcategory can be hidden in the view templates OR you can change the visibility of the level of detail of the lines within the family, so the lines will only show if you have the LOD set to corse or fine depending on what you want.
Sorry about my reply below... I took a while when I started to write the reply and when I hit send your reply was already in.
