Hi,
Is there a way to auto-hide the doors and windows (guest elements) within a wall (host) when the wall is hidden on the view or the view template?
I want a plan showing concrete elements: CIP walls, doors/windows/openings. (HIDE ALL CMU WALLS AND ITS GUEST FAMILIES). At this point, I can hide all of the CMU walls (filter selection) but I need to search and hide every door/window hosted in a CMU wall.
Thanks,
I think you'd probably have to either create a new parameter or use an existing one to label elements as to what kind of host they have. You could speed up the process by marking those by using Dynamo. And then use a filter to hide/show desired elements.

Thanks for your reply. I know filters are great, but changing the view template several times does not worth it. That's why I was thinking of a faster way to hide elements - what if it is just for temporary purposes in certain areas?
Ideally, I thought it could be a way to link/attach the openings (doors/windows) to their host, this could behave as a "nested family".
I'll keep looking for any other ideas.
