I have a building with a long longitudinal view that I want to split into multiple dependant views.
I'd like to only show the original section rather than the original section and all of the dependant sections.
I can't seem to be able to do this. So I end up with too many symbols. Steve Stafford has a blog post about this exact subject, but it seems the bug workaround has been fixed. Is there a way to achieve this with the recent versions of Revit? It seems like the dependant view for sections would be pretty useless without this functionality.

If I have to manually hide views in all my plans and views, I won't use this feature.

Do you place the dependent views on sheets? Don't you need to keep them on for referencing?
mmm, I see what you mean. It would need to refer to the original section if that section had regions or know to only show the dependent sections, which is unlikely.
Was mostly hoping that this workflow would be usable without using the 'hide element in view'.
I still don't understand how this is supposed to work in a comprehensive system, but I have to say that your system makes this more workable. Thanks!
Nicely spotted ToanDN.
Do you have suggestion how to hide Dependant View Symbols in Plan that have Dependant Plans frames?
