hidden elements keep returning after restarting...

When laying out a sheet, I, for an example, don't want elements to show, such as a driveway.  It does work for the moment, but after saving and turning off the computer and restarting the computer, everything hidden returns.  This is probably a stupid question but without deleting an element, is there a way that the element(s) can remain hidden until I reinstate them again after the computer is restarted?  When the computer is restarted the elements show up again. It's a pain to continually hiding elements again and again.

It looks like you are using Temporarily Hide/Isolate  (shortcut HH) ,

TEMPORARY HIDE.PNG

If you don't want it to show up anymore, you can just use a tool to Hide (shortcut EH), but depending on the number of elements you are hiding and maybe you have to unhide, it would be better to create a viewtemplate, with filters for these elements.

Research on how to create filters, rules and viewtemplate.

Sounds like you are doing a Temporary Hide. Instead, select element, right-click and press Hide In View: Element.

I'll have to look into the "hide" and filter, etc.

Another question I have is I tried "phases" for this project, but I need to lock a phase so it doesn't affect another, such as: existing doesn't affect new and visa versa.  Is this possible?  or am I using the wrong thing?

Unfortunately, you don't get two questions. Time expired.  Move on.
