Help with running Revit 2018 free trial

Anonymous

Hi everyone,

my name is Nikolay, I am an architect. This morning I dounloaded Revit Architecture 2018 free 30 days trial.

I have received a message that dounloading was successful. When I tryed to run the program there was a message

that my licence has expired and I have 0 days of trial left. Please help if anyone knows how to solve this issue.

Do I need any additional licence or number or anything, if it is 30 days free trial period?

Thanks in advance.

You are only allowed one time installed trial versions for 30 days of any revit program in one machine, that what I know. thanks

Thank you for your answer. First time trial. Anyway in the mean time the problem was solved. I should select

"I have alredy a licence" then in the window "run" and "activate" to click on "run". That solves the issue. Now my

Revit is OK and I enjoy the trial program.

Unfortunately, Autodesk chose to NOT reply to my three attempts to get any help with the Revit Trial.

I thought I would try again after 30 days, but it looks like they do not want my business. I'm certain that support will not see this reply either. What a heck of a business model !

In short, you want a more-than-30-day trial?

What I have requested from Autodesk for over 30 days is simple suport in
getting a revit trial working. I am disappointed that I will not be able to
review the file my Architect sent me.

You can review the file your Architect sent you with this:

How was it not working exactly?  By the way, you can upload the Revit file to https://viewer.autodesk.com/designviews and view it online.

Support,

I downloaded the 'Design Review' per the link, however, the program does
not accept the file I was sent ending with *.lvsc

I seem to be running out of options. Thank you for your help though.

*lvsc is Revit Live file format.  You cannot open it in Revit.  You need to subscribe to Revit Live. which is an entire different animal.

Thank you very much. I appreciate your help but can not get the Revit Live
download to work.
Apparently Autodesk defers to the Community to answer questions.
If I had the money to buy a subscription I would do that.

@Anonymous: Can't you just get the .rvt file from the architect?

Also, a inexpensive way to obtain Revit, might be to enroll in local community college. Might qualify you for the Free Educational License.
