I'm having an issue with conflicting filters.
Scenario: I have a supply duct run that has a VAV within it. I want to create two filters, one for the VAV and one for the Supply ducts. I set the "Supply" Filter to filter by system type "Supply Air". Filter picks up VAV box.
Real Issue: I have lots of supply ducts and VAV boxes. Creating coordination drawings that show the systems that feed the VAV boxes. Want the ability to turn off "ducts" but not VAV boxes.
Unlike Navisworks, I cannot Negate conditions in Revit. What are some workarounds?

remove the duct category from the filter keep the Mechanical equipment category in the filter
this should give you just the VAV box display with no Ducts
the type of filter you are using is based on system type not category
Can not give you a definite answer because that depends on how your model is build up.
But when creating filters you have several option to filter specific objects.
First one is the category (1)
Here you can select for example duct accessories but not ducts.
The other one (2) is to set the filter rules. By setting the "and" function you can further restrict your selection
