Help! Why are stairs are visible through floor?

The cut lines are not visible and the base of the stairs on level 1 are visible through the floor structure. It only occurs on Level 1. I have checked the View Range and Visibility check boxes but all seems okay.

It's difficult to tell from the image, but you can check:

Is wireframe on in the view?

Is the floor hidden, or does it exist?

Is the floor at the correct level? Check with a section.

Thanks, yes it was set to wireframe view which was annoying
