Hello-
I am trying to create masses that differentiate in color. I eventually want to do this for programming, but I am currently working on context site analysis and want to apply color to the context buildings that I made with masses and a different color to my site mass.
I have tried to set up a filter that reads Category: Mass AND "Mass" "Family Name" "equals" "____" (name I assigned the mass). Once I add this filter to VG and override the colors, nothing changes and the masses are the same default color. If someone can please give me some help that would be greatly appreciated!
I'm an architecture student and would love to be able to use more of the tools that are available in Revit, compared to Sketchup (which is what I previously have used)
Thanks!
So you want to assign a different Material to different Mass Instances? Associate the Mass Material Parameter to an Instance-type Family Parameter.
I just tested what you did and it works fine. Maybe you missed a step.
1. Create Filter
2. Add the Filter to Filters Tab of View Visibility and Graphics Overrides
3. Change the Projection/Surface Pattern and Color of the Filter
Several Possibilities:
YOUTUBE | BIM | COMPUTATIONAL DESIGN | PARAMETRIC DESIGN | GENERATIVE DESIGN | VISUAL PROGRAMMING
