Hi Scott, The image seems to be a generic annotation family. I assume the department colours have been added as a filled region either in the family or in the drafting/legend/sheet view?

Edit: It might also be a CAD import unless I am missing something?

It is from a .dwg file that a consultant we use has on their sheets.

I am doing a space planning project for my hospital and have colored the rooms with the room tags.

I would like to create a schedule with the items listed but have the matching room color involved.

Is there another way to incorporate the room tag colors into a schedule that is going to populate Department Code, square footage and a couple other items we need?

Look for some creative help so I can finish for a meeting tomorrow.

Due to time constraints (Its nearly bedtime here in South Africa), I have attached a project file which will give you a similar result. In a nutshell, it is a room schedule placed on a sheet, combined with a drafting view. It might be easier to create a generic annotation family to replicate the results, but I am sure this will be suitable for your meeting tomorrow. You will however have to match your colour fill legend to match the colours in your drafting view though

Thank you that was my next step.  You can do everything else in revit except add a matching color to a schedule.  This make no sense.

If anyone else has an easier way please let me know.

Why is there not a way to fill an individual cell in the schedule.  You can change it by entire column and row but not individual cell.

This make color coding charts a pain in the but for a simple task even excel can do.

Any suggestions

you can change an individual color of a cell as I have shown in:

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-architecture/revisions-to-a-schedule/td-p/5523409

A workaround to show the color scheme of the rooms in Room Schedule , could be done as follows:

  1. In Room Schedule : Properties > Other > Fields > in Available Fields choose Image and Add it to Scheduled Fields
  2. in plan view select Color Legend  > Edit Color Scheme - note down the RGB code of the rooms
  3. create in Photoshop or in another Image editor a serie of rectangles ( the same dimensions) filled with the RGB code colors from step 2
  4. load color Image into cell of the schedule

It is some work to do , but if you keep your own color standard , then the method could be a choice...
