Step 1. Look into twin motion.
I love revit but not for rendering or visualisation.

Material is in library not the project. Drag and drop to project. If image is missing then add a path to revit where it looks for images used when rendering. Options.

It is not locked, Revit is unable to find the path to the folder where the image is located. (ie: the images were either relocated or deleted)

 

Under appearance tab >>> click the link to the image >>> navigate to the folder where it is located >> select the image and click OK

If you do not have current material libraries loaded, you can use material libraries from previous releases.

Also, make sure you have “use render appearance” checked in material identity.
