[HELP]Mathematical formula in relation to the applied parameters

Hi,

I am not sure where to start but I was hoping if anyone could advice or explain how the formulas are set in the parameters relation to the axis. Especially how cosin and sin functions behaves within the applied axis, or basically hope someone could explain (or least theoretically) how it defines the wave and twists.

Welcome to the forum.

 

This can be created with 2 families, or a set of them, using the generic adaptive template. Family 1 is the repeater. Family 2 is the repetition. Family 1 contains the formulas that drive the position of the element that varies along the repetition. 

 

For detailed information, please see the attached document, which is the handout of a class I gave in New Zealand in 2013 on the topic of adaptive repetitions.
