This is a silly question but what is this? I suspect parts/assembly of walls of some sort. I got this Revit file from a consultant and have not created this on my own yet so not sure where to start looking this up... The two images below show 2 walls flush next to each other. The line dividing the walls is hidden (no linework tool override). In Image 1 I stretched the part of the wall away from the door jamb and the fact that there are two walls becomes more obvious... If this was a linework tool overide, the line would not show back up as one of the walls' openings are offset from each other

Just a thinner wall joining with thicker walls then there will be no joint lines. It takes no effort to show them like that.
Use the Wall Join tool and change the Join Display ... then it becomes more obvious

Looks like it is some sort of wall join except I cannot achieve what you are showing. When I select my walls all wall join options are greyed out (I suspect because they are parallel stacked on top of each other and not 'joined' at ends, @RDAOU example you show has 2 walls joined at ends) When I move wall away and back together the join condition disappears also. What's cool also is that even I move the door on one wall it cuts through the second wall also. I attached the Revit file with this scenario.
What you have there is a Joined Geometry...the "Wall Join" does not work for those that is why they are grayed
The Good Case their geometry joined in the bad case their geometry isnt

Ahh, I got it now... thank you so much for an in-depth explanation!
