HELP - Elements Disappearing

I have a lot of elements disappearing in my file. I am not sure what's happening. I will save my file, and when I open it next time I get a message about fixing links (for whatever reason I did not screenshot this) I assumed fixing the links would fix whatever it claimed was broken. I'll be honest, it was just a mindless click. I am looking now and it seems like all my roomtags are gone as well as all of my furniture in the file. What is happening? Am I able to recover?

It makes me wonder what else is possibly missing that I did not notice. I am feeling screwed. I've been working this for months. It's affecting almost all of my sheets.

Find out what the error is and post it here. It could be that your link it unlinking, meaning your rooms are no longer bound which would result in missing room tags. The furniture could be a few things.

If you would want check your Links you can do this in the manage tab, and manage links tool. Make sure all your Revit links that you are using are loaded into the project.

meant to reply  instead of accept solution. But this is the message I keep getting. Then things disappear. This just happened again. Before I had pressed open manage links to correct the problem. I couldn't see an issue. so I continued. Then I noticed everything missing.

The things that are missing, are they actual Revit families? This is only a CAD warning, which makes me wonder if your missing elements were actually part of a CAD file.

if this is the only warning you are getting, and they are actual are it families, check your worksets and make sure all your worksets are open. You can do this under the collaborate tab.

Using this screenshot as an example. This is the same sheet, before and after.  Each of these were in fact rfa files. Only CAD/DWF file in this view is the plant. Idk if this warning said CAD every single time, I just know each time I save and reopen the file, something seems to disappear by saying it cant read one or more references. Same thing happened to my room tags in the full building. They just disappeared, the individual names don't even seem to show in the properties box anymore.

Not sure how to use the collaborate tab though. Can you expand on that?

For work sharing files, which I’m assuming this is, things get placed ontovworksets. Sometimes when opening the file, not all worksets get opened? So you don’t see any of those elements on those closed worksets throughout the whole model. This is what I’m hoping it happening. So under the collaborate tab, there is a workesets tool. Select the tool, it will bring up the workset. Make sure everything says open. It will say it’s not edible but that only means you don’t own the workset. Hopefully this helps!
