[Help] Create a round opening on a circular wall

Hi there,

I am a newbie in Revit. I need to create a ⌀1800mm manhole with a ⌀500mm opening on the wall of manhole for connecting a pipe.

Here are some ways i have found online and tried but none of them works.‌‌

1. Edit the wall profile. (The Edit Profile function is disabled as the manhole wall is circular. )

2. Created a void extrusion, but gave me an error message.

3. Wall opening tool. However, it supports rectangular or square opening only. I need a round opening on the wall.

Please help, and appreciate in advance.

I have attached my model below. Appreciate again.

Use your approach 2, but cut the wall with the void while you are still in the model in place editing mode,  then finish it.

I would use an In-Place Void Extrusion to cut the wall. TIP: Cut the Wall with the Void BEFORE closing out of In-Place Modeling Mode.

BTW: If you don't have In-Place Tools, then model the Void extrusion in a Family Template, check "Cuts with Void when Loaded" and then load and place it in the Project.  Once you get it into position, use the Cut Geometry tool to cut the Wall with the Void.
