Help can’t hide Interior edges in parts!

Hi hope someone I a suggestion.

When I want to make parts on floors, all the interior edges shows up, like shown on the picture. The only solution I have find so far is to hide each line by Linework tool. It can take a lot of time.

By the way I have unchecked “interior edges” in V/G.

Is there a smarter way to remove these lines, so it only shows the parts division lines?

Did you try to set Parts Visibility on Show Parts, may be you had set it to show both?

I don't understand. When you say "Interior Edges", are you meaning "Common Edges".  Parts don't have Common Edges.  Those lines in your picture looks like Cut Pattern linework, in which case you'd remove by overriding Cut Pattern in view's VG.

...I'll add for clarification: Control the Visibility and Graphics via the Parts Category-- not the Floor Category.

Hi barthbradley

Thanks for the answer. I used the word “Interior Edges” because it lies in the same place as the “Interior Edges” on the floor (on the Floor I can turn them off in V/G under Floor - Interior Edges). But when I use Parts the lines show up again. (Just for clarification, I mean the yellow lines in the attached file)

As I can see the only thing, I can control under V/G - Parts are – “Hidden lines”. And that makes no difference.

Then I tried to change the “Cut pattern” but it changed nothing. The only thing there change something is by modify the “Projection lines” but then I change all lines.

Please tell me if I do something wrong!

Open the views Visibility and Graphics dialog box (VG). Scroll down to Parts category and untick "Visible" in Cut Pattern Overrides. That do it?

Dang it! I thought for sure, that would do it. Oh well.  Can you post a file to look at?

Go into Graphic Display Options and uncheck Show Edges.

...Must be Friday. I get it now. You're referring to the Floor Plan view.  Well then: Linework tool it's got to be. Sorry for the confusion on my part (no pun intended).

Are you talking about the yellow or the red lines?

...Yellow, Red? but all the lines represent slope hinges.

The red lines are the intersection between different sloped planes and they are showing correctly.  If you want to hide them for some reason then yeah you have to use Linework tool to fake it.

But I can hide the slope lines when they are on the same floor without the Parts! Under VG – Floors – Interior lines.

I just hoped that something was possible!

Not sure why you just don't show both the Original and Parts in your Parts View (if it is in fact a Part View), and then remove those offending Parts (or hide them) to reveal the Floor. Then turn off Interior Edges.
