Hello, I am a students just coming out of a construction engineering program in which we were taught how to use revit. Although it is a very simple thing, I can not for the life of me create new hatch patterns without the pattern rotating with my 3D camera. I am trying to figure out how to keep hatch patterns visuals perpendicular to the x,y plane. If any of you have any suggestions, that would be great. Here is a photo to better describe what I mean. It pertains to my roof hatch pattern. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
You'll want to reference the difference between DRAFTING and MODEL patterns. You want a MODEL pattern for this application - but you are using a DRAFTING pattern.
Check here for more information: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-products/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2018/EN...
MODEL patterns should be all real-world scaled things (bricks, roofing, tiles, siding, etc).
DRAFTING patterns are based on scale of the view.
