Hatch Patten Missing in 3D views

Having Difficulty getting a hatch pattern to show for stone walls in perspective views that we would really like to have for a presentation.  sometimes the pattern shows when the view is first put into a 3D perspective mode but disappears after adapting the view and now can't get the pattern back at all.

Here is a 2d representation of part project:

And here is a 3D part.... As you can see the stone pattern is missing and is just shown as Grey.... It does not show when I zoom in closer to the surface either.  You can see how other patterns like the stone on the floor through the window still work.

Any help would be great,

Thanks.

It happens. Just need to fidget with the view angle and zoom.

Thanks but I'm  not getting much mileage out of that technique

Use a model pattern for the material.

Thanks,

I can't remember right now but we can't use a model pattern for a technical reason... I think because we needed to scale the hatch pattern in a specific way.

Do you have excessive values for Eye Elevation and Target Elevation in the view?  That'll do it.

Could be a FUBAR 3D view as well. Did you try deleting and creating a new one?

Or it could be graphics card related.

What specific way?  Do you worry the pattern appears too dense in a small scaled view?

Hey thanks for the input again,

I'm gonna try opening it on a computer with a different graphics card config when I get a chance.

The pattern is scaled up because the stones in the project are that size not smaller and it will confuse the feel of the project for the client.

Here is a link to another question I asked why I ended up not using a model pattern : https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-architecture-forum/cant-scale-up-hidden-line-version-of-a-mater...

ALSO ,

I don't think its a fubar view because I have 10 views saved all from different angles  and non of them have the texture.

Ill try out changing the values for eye elevation and target elevation

What you describes is the behavior of drafting patterns. Model patterns don't scale up or down, they are always show their actual model size, not paper size.

I think the OP means this:

View Scale Hatch 2.png

View Scale Hatch 1.png

Here's that 1:20 View after fidgeting with the view angle:

View Scale Hatch 3.png

But the OP said that didn't work for them.

Also I tried it on another computer with a different type of Graphics Card enabled and am getting the same results

Easiest way would be to just recreate the View.   But, if you want to fidget with the settings, they are in the View Properties.

The Target Elevation and Eye Level Elevation are interesting but they don't do anything to fix the problem.
