Has Revit created these walls?

Hey Guys, completely new to revit... infact i am only on my second day of playing around with its features (free trial)

i have just started to play around with inserting 2d plans from cad and i was going to attempt to trace the building outline.

however... am i wrong in thinking that Revit has recognised some of the walls as they all looks raised/3d?

if it has... how do i change the walls to the correct height..(see attached)

thanks

Sean

No Revit will not recognize wall from a 2D AutoCAD drawing. However AutoCAD is also capable of creating 3D objects. We used to create buildings in AutoCAD Architectural. This AutoCAD version also has the possibility to place 3D walls. So I expect you just see 3D objects from the linked in AutoCAD file

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

I second @L.Maas reply... what you've got is a 3D CAD file not a 2D.

How to modify their heights? depends what you want to do with that link.

  1. If you want to Keep using it as a 3D linked CAD I would suggest that you go fix in CAD then reload and compliment what you Need to compliment in Revit
  2. If you are just using it as an underlay...then you can either ignore the link and trace on top OR back in AutoCAD Flatshot the 3D to 2D then reload it to Revit as 2D

Cheers
