Hello,
(see attachment )
We have some groups with a filled region, that we paste on wall/floor/foundation (intersection) to add some small details.
In a later stage it is sometimes needed that we halftone the entire section, because we want to draw the attention to specific parts (those are not halftone) and that works pretty good.
The problem is that halftone creates a difference between filled regions and material color even when color settings are the same.
We dont want to change the filled region color in halftone situations, because that will also change the detail groups in non halftone.
How do we get this to match, and why does halftone create differences in the first place.

Perhaps you have some double halftoning going on... like override in view halftoned + overwritten model category halftoned, or a view filter... maybe zip/share (part of) the file to have a look.
I couldn't find any other overwrites in the project.
To be sure i started a new project without a template and i had the same result.
You can find a screenshot of the outcome and that revit file in the attachment.
Set the solid fills as background, not as foreground. Not sure why it matters actually, but this should resolve the issue.
