Gutter mis-alignment

Hello

I'm using Revit light 2018, and I've come across a peculiarity that I wonder if anyone has seen before and can point out my error in?

I'm applying half round gutters to a roof by clicking the edges of the appropriate roof. Doing this in roof plan, the gutters don't join at the corners, and in elevation I can see that they have aligned themselves to different levels - i.e. first floor level and eaves level (see attached).  If I adjust the vertical alignment of the gutter, both aspects of the gutter (as it highlits as a single gutter) move upwards, so I have the bottom gutter against the roof, and the higher gutter floating in mid-air.

I have resolved this by applying the gutter in 3-d mode, but it struck me as a peculiarity that I wondered if anyone else had seen, or managed to resolve?

(Yes I have got window issues to resolve in the background... that's for another battle/ post!)

Many thanks

Karen

Not sure I fully understand, but regarding picking 3D sweep paths (the gutter profile follows one), I generally do this in 3D views.

Your roof has thickness so chances are you picked a top edge at one side and a bottom edge at another. Do it in a 3D view so that you can orbit around and pick the right edges.

Thanks @ToanDN . It does work in 3-d, which is great.

I was just bemused at the extreme difference between the gutter levels - one appears on the top edge of the fascia, the other at first floor level, some 1970mm lower) - whilst still claiming to be the same gutter.
