Gumball for revit

if there was a gumball type feature for revit like rotating and moving families. it would be very helpful. clicking and dragging to move is the easiest now. or we have to go to ribbon and select move command. then, if i want to move and rotate a group of families, it is hard.

Revit's interface and functionality are designed with precision and architectural workflows in mind, which sometimes means that features like a "gumball" manipulator (similar to what you might find in software like Rhino or SketchUp) are not natively available. However, there are some ways to improve the efficiency of moving and rotating families in Revit:

Use Keyboard Shortcuts:

Familiarize yourself with keyboard shortcuts for common commands like Move (MV) and Rotate (RO). This can significantly speed up your workflow.
Temporary Dimensions:

Use temporary dimensions to adjust the position of elements quickly. Click on the temporary dimension value to enter a new value directly.
Align Tool:

Use the Align tool (AL) to position elements relative to other elements in your model quickly.
Pin and Unpin:

If you are working with groups of families, consider pinning them in place once they are correctly positioned to prevent accidental movement.
Selection Filters:

Use selection filters to isolate specific types of elements (e.g., only families) before moving or rotating them.
Create a Custom Ribbon Panel:

You can customize the Revit ribbon to include frequently used commands, making them more accessible.
Third-Party Add-ins:

Explore third-party add-ins that might offer enhanced manipulation tools. Some add-ins provide more intuitive manipulation features similar to a gumball tool (like py Revit)
Dynamo for Revit:

Use Dynamo to automate repetitive tasks or create custom scripts for moving and rotating elements. This can be particularly useful for complex or repetitive operations.

RVT to the max
