What would prevent my Guide Grid from being placed on a Sheet? I've created on to align Note Boxes, Legends, and Schedules along one side of the sheet. It works easily most of the time, but on a couple different sheets, nothing happens when I use the same procedure.

Hi @m_champine ,
Assuming the GuideGrid type was set for the sheet as @vitorbortoncello and it's category was visible as @barthbradley post mentions.
Is it possible the sheet where the guide isn't showing it's title block isn't in the same place, or it's another titleblock with a different origin. Try Zoom To Fit

It's possible that someone used Right Click - Hide in View to hide the guide grid. Use Reveal Hidden Elements to see if it shows up.

The Visibility Graphics for one of the Sheets had Guide Grids deselected. I selected that option, and it was fixed! I checked the same issue on another sheet, and Guide Grids were already set to be visible, yet the Guide Grid didn't show. I checked for hidden elements, and BAM! It was there!

No surprises, that demonstrates that people working on the project with you don't know how to deal with guide grids. They won't print so if they are hiding them that means they don't know that OR that they just don't like seeing them on the sheet.
FWIW, I don't use them for detail view management because they grid is square and most firms I've met have detail boxes that aren't perfectly square so they fit on the sheet in rows and columns nicely with the rest of the information on the sheet. I use them to align the same scale plans on sheets primarily so that those sheets don't move the plans as you go from sheet to sheet. For this purpose I reduce their size to show one intersection of squares and place that intersection at a common grid intersection of the plan views. This way the guide grid isn't too intrusive on the sheet. I use a grid spacing large enough to be easy to isolate it, find it on the sheet.
