Hi,
I have installed a brand new Nvidia GTX1060 6GB and it was impossible to render anything above "medium" (it crashed everytime), while the built in Intel 4600 was OK. I will RMA it tomorrow, but does anyone have this issue? Can it be a general issue of the drivers?
Thanks!!

In my signature there is a link to Autodesk's compatibility check website. You can verify which hardware is certified and supported and which drivers as well

yes, I know it is not certified, but from there to "unable to run with" is a long run...
Depends what method you are using for rendering, and what version of Revit. Under most circumstances the renderer is CPU-based, meaning the video card doesn't come into play in the rendering process (and won't provide any benefits). Any crashes from rendering are likely the result of a conflict with the driver and possibly heralds more problems to come with other features.
I am using Revit 2017 and I am rendering with Revit itself, not exporting to 3DS Max or similar.
The problem is that I get consisted crashed when the GTX 1060 is installed, so I will RMA it. I am not having issues otherwise, so I am worried about the general compatibily of the card / drivers. I someone has a good experience with this card it will be really appreciated.
As far as I understood, the problem was the model of the graphic card: I have tried two different 1060 cards with a clean install in between, and I got the same failures and issues.
I have installed a RX 480 and everything is fine now, so I can discard every other part on my PC but the Nvidia 1060.
Hi,
I have just tried a render with high quality preset and it worked like a charm with gtx 1060. (mobile 6gb)
The latest (as of 21.10.17) gaming driver is installed.
CPU is an Intel 7700hq - 32 gb ram
Glad to hear someone got it working!!
My model was a desktop card, that may be the issue... Anyhow, the RX480 is working perfectly and it was cheaper, so no complains here.
Does anyone have experience with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 with 8GB GDDR5X Graphics Card running Revit Architecture 2018? I'm getting ready to purchase a new work station and this is the only component that does not show up on Autodesk's recommended or certified list of hardware. I am trying to avoid potential compatability issues as was the case with the 1060 card. Can someone please advise?
Thank you,
AB

I don't have a 1080 but the GTX 1060 6GB works fine.
