Groups in levels with different offset

Hi,

I was wondering if I can have a group (with floor, walls, windows and doors) in different offsets but with the same base level. Doors and windows move to the nearest level (when I duplicate the group) but I don't whant that, can I get round that?

When you edit the group, check and see if the doors and windows are set to the same level as the group. Make sure you have no negative offset or it will switch to different level host when you mirror. As well make sure the group offset is set to 0. Any offset value set to the group will cause the group object to host to the nearest level. When I create level, I never create level 3' (910mm) from the previous level or you will start to get objects hosted to other level so close to each other.

not recommended.

if you want to create a group for 1 level and only use it on that assigned level it works ok

we have created groups for each level and assigned the correct hosting per level

group 1 floor 1

group 2 floor 2

group 2a floor 2 etc.

create 1 group place it on its level

copy a group edit group (or ungroup then create new group rename it edit group and assign it to the correct hosting level.
