grouping complexity

I remember I was able to select all objects and then press GP to group Now I can't do that anymore and I have to select all the objects one by one which is very time consuming and if I do this in practice I will have my butt kicked in NO time. So I want to learn a quicker way to group. I also don NOT understand why I can't add the lines and texts to the group. The file is attached for perusal.

 Some members have argued that I ask too many questions. I have to ask many questions so I would be as aware as possible as in practice there is NO time to waste and since some Australians and Australian managers say whatever is on their mind  or similar words when they are stressed and stuck in a predicament facing deadlines. in other words they some do NOT filter their words and express themselves freely without any filter and claim that its because aussies are honest and its their style.

The reason you can't Group that specific area is because there are Supports from the Stair included in the selection. Open Filter after you selected all elements and remove Supports from the selected elements. Then it's fine to Group with GP. I always check whats selected with Filter before I group, just to make sure there isn't such elements included... Same goes for Railings. It includes sub-elements which are not groupable.

Non model element such as detail lines, text, tags can be added via attached detail group.

When you group both model and detail elements, Revit automatically put all model elements to a model group and all detail elements to an attached detail group. Once a model group inserted, you can check the box on the drop down context menu to attached the detail group.

And don't skim through previous replies to previous questions you posted. Mark the acceptable answers and try to rememeber them. I've read the previous post Toan answered for you!!! Its nothing personal to you that you are getting involved at a personal level. oevr some of your posts you freely express anything since you are in an online environment and can easily do so. and perhaps lack the introspcection to understand the in appropriatness of your sharp comments, you should use a more gentle tone my friend. However I believe when I see such off putting attitudes, I tend to appreciate humility and patience which I am well known for in return. However in order to protect myself against any sort of harrasing comments like the one above I have to report and seek further actions, else I am thankful for the many other posts which you have helped me.

@Anonymous Personal no there is nothing personal about this but you ought to quit being dramatic and theatrical! It's a question on groups and nothing complex in it... 🙂 you would still get the reply and solution without the whole story and moral that comes with your questions. So chill! Have a drink like those Aussies you mentioned lollife is good even when one is an alien in the land downunda! (That's a figure of speech lol please do not over react to it too)

The whole moral has to come out my friend and if it's not discussed then nobody would bother to think about their offensive attitude and it's always been a question for me.It might sound theatrical that I make public complaints but honestly it's a better way of letting the frustration out, compared to the norm which is shouting and swearing and harassing one another in an office environment. Other people keep the pressure to themselves and then let it explode as in form of harassing and offensive attitudes and this is a routine at work and education departments. The best way is my approach to bring up this discussion in public forums so I could get information about coping with rude and harsh managers. So what's so off putting about that since u said a few members find me annoying. It's maybe becuase I look for solutions in discussions in forums. Just as one might ask questions about Revit it's normal to have questions about the morals and other things which I felt was and is necessary to issue and ask. Hence maybe some members saw my question as a reflection to themselves and hence they took it personally. Which in this case I say that blaming me doesn't help and it's their own problem that they can't have courtesy and respect and humility . I must say that I always tried and will try to be unconditionally courteous and have humility but being in a place and field which is widely known for lacking humility and proper conduct makes me naturally raise this issue , Not to be Dramatic , but to have a better strategy to deal with this matter. Now if anyone who is annoyed with me let me say being annoyed with me doesn't help as I normally say do I want to be just part of the crowd or be 'different'. If the majority of crowd is behaving shamefully and it's shameful to be shameful , then be different .
We are humans we MUST respect MUST respect one another . This message is for everyone and all architectural offices.
