Grouping & Sorting Placeholder Sheets in 2011

We use some shared parameters to group & sort sheets in the sheet list.  Is there a way for the new placeholder sheets to participate in this?  Thanks.

Yes, so long as you assign the proper parameter values to the placeholder sheets' fields in the schedule, the placeholder sheets will follow the same ordering system applied to the other sheets.

Excellent info, tyvm.  Any thoughts on how to handle hidden fields that are used in the grouping & sorting?  Thanks!

Please read my reply to this other thread, and see the illustration:

We use a very similar setup.  The problem is that as soon as a field is set to Hidden, it no longer displays in the row and can't be used to sort the placeholder sheets, or am I just missing something obvious?  Thanks again.

That's strange. I tested this. In that same schedule shown in the illustration, I added 3 placeholder sheets for Interior Design, to be included in the Architectural set, I applied the proper sorting values, then I hid the fields in the schedule, and the Interior Design sheets remained in the correct place. It's a great new feature, by the way.

Doh!  There's the obvious that I was missing.

I have an existing model that was started in 2010 and I was trying to upgrade and add placeholder sheets.  I simply unchecked the hidden field value, updated the parameters, re-checked the hidden field, and poof, done deal.  Thanks Alfredo!  And I agree, this is a great new feature.
