Hi all, my team and I have been having an issue with our model and I'm struggling to find simple solutions,
Different windows in our model have been turned into groups so that we can copy and place them for different views (a part of a larger visual window schedule we're creating), however the windows we have in our models vs the windows we have showing up in our window schedule are in different sizes even though they are the same group.
Has anyone seen similar issues and have an answer on how to fix this or avoid this issue in the future?
Currently I have been switching the groups to another group and then switching back and that sometimes reverses the dimensions back to their originals but not always.
Hopefully I described the issue well enough, I included a picture of the in model window vs the in schedule window which are the exact same group but different dimensions.
Thanks!

Hey,
Obviously this shouldn't be happening, the best thing would be to give us an .Rvt with a group in, for us to investigate.
Until then, here are a couple of left-field thoughts ![]()
Are you definitely making the group with windows and not curtain walling?
Are you definitely using the built-in width? Not a parameter which is Instance and can vary by Group?
Hope that's helpful,
Mark
They are curtain walls?
Maybe the ends react to another wall @ the ends, only way I can think off that a grouped element isn't identical size.
In the group "disallow join" to both ends of the curtain wall.
I assume the one in the "Window schedule" is the wrong size?
Michel.
Below a sample of this behaviour.
Steps:
1. create wall
2. place curtainwall, and make group of it.
3. place/copy the group (for the Window schedule)
4. place another wall and place the end on the end of the curtainwall of 2.
5. see result different widths, any newly placed group will have the size of the first placed (2.)
solution: disallow joins and make the curtainwall the correct width.
Thank you all so much for your help!
It looks like disallowing join and stretching the windows back to the correct size did the trick!
