Is it possible to keep the grid head text label aligned with the direction of the grid line? By default the text is aligned with the view.

Why not create a Grid Head to do that?

Tried to. Text in bulb won't however rotate with gridline. It stays upright.

You must be doing something wrong then. Either that, or I misunderstood you.

Is this what you want?

Yes. Automatically in any direction, not only horizontally or vertically. So also when a View is rotated or a rotated Scope Box is being used the text should face in the direction of the grid line.

Revit can't do that automatically.  You need to create different TYPES.

Keep in mind that "Heads" cannot use INSTANCE PARAMETERS. This is essentially what they would need to have to be able do what you want them to do.
