Grid group not to be found anywhere else than in groups in the project browser

Hi

I cannot seem to find my group of grids (that were initially copy-monitored from a linked Revit model) anywhere else than in groups in the project browser.
I cannot see them in any plan view, section or 3D.
If I double click the group in the project browser I can see that the grids are still somehow existing as a group but my skills in Revit comes to a limit here.

Hope that someone can help me.

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,
Christian

Think of the project browser as a list of loaded elements. They don't necessarily need to be placed but are loaded and available for placement.

Hi @christianbang

I don't know what you mean with "If I double click the group in the project browser I can see that the grids are still somehow existing as a group..."

What happens if you double click the group in the project browser (normally a Type Edit dialog popups)..

Anyway, if you righy-click on the group in the project browser and then go to > Select All instances > In entire project

Now what't selected, if the group is no longer anyware placed in the project the properties palette won't show info, else see on what level it's placed, workset etc...

From here we can pick it up further, if none is placed then that's it.

Do a Coordination Review to see if the Grids exist.   Maybe you Grouped and then accidentally deleted the Group Instance.

Ahh okay thank you so much that makes sense. How do you place the grids in the project group back into the project?

Thanks for your reply Michel!
Ahh sorry my bad. I was supposed to write when I right click and then select edit. Instead of writing "when I double click".

I tried selecting all instances as you recommended and the properties palette font is grey and nothing can be selected in the palette on what workset etc.

Then the group is no longer placed anywhere in the model.

Where the group needs to be placed would be a guess...I assume you know where the grids need to be?

Drag the Group from the Project browser into a view (ground floor plan would be the logical choice?) and drop it and then move it to the desired location so the grids are placed correctly.

Or rightclick the group in the project browser and click "Create instance", place it and move to correct position.

Ps: I think if they were monitored, they no longer will be. To check use Coordination review or select a grid and see if they are monitored.

Thanks this is it. Yes now the problem is they are not monitored anymore. What do I do to get them monitored again?

Delete the group and run Copy/Monitor again.
