I’m using Revit 2025, and when I open any material in the Material Browser, the Graphics tab appears completely empty — no options like Surface Pattern, Cut Pattern, Shading, etc.

All other tabs (Identity, Appearance, Physical, Thermal) display correctly.

I’ve tried the following:
Resizing the Material Browser window
Creating a new material
Checking if any sections are collapsed
Restarting Revit

The issue still persists.

Could this be a graphical glitch, a template issue, or a problem with material libraries?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Hi @e12228544,
Thanks for sharing the details — that does sound frustrating.

Here are a few suggestions to help isolate the issue with the missing Graphics tab options in Revit 2025:

🔧1. Reset the Revit UI layout
Sometimes UI elements can bug out. Try resetting the Revit interface:
Go to Options > User Interface, and click Reset UI Layout. Then restart Revit and check the Material Browser again.

📺2. Graphics driver and hardware acceleration
It might be a graphics-related glitch. Try disabling hardware acceleration temporarily:
Options > Graphics > Uncheck "Use hardware acceleration" — restart Revit and see if the Graphics tab behaves normally.

📁3. Test in a blank new project (without template)
Create a brand-new project without using any template. Then open the Material Browser and check if the Graphics tab appears correctly.
If it does — the issue might be with the template or custom material settings.

💽4. Reinstall or repair Revit Material Libraries
Missing or corrupted libraries might affect how the tabs behave. Try repairing the Revit 2025 Material Libraries via the Autodesk installer.

🔎5. Check with another user profile or machine
If possible, test on a different Windows user profile or computer. That helps confirm whether it’s Revit or something local to your user config.

Let me know if any of these help — or if you'd like to share a short video/screenshot, I’d be happy to take a closer look.
Best of luck troubleshooting!
