Hi All,
I am hoping to shed some light on an issue we are having in the office currently. We have recently upgraded our machines (about 5 months ago I think) and nvidia M2000 4GB graphics cards were specified by our IT team. the reviews on this card were glowing at the time of purchase, so I had no concerns. However now we are all experiencing graphics issues when running Revit (mainly ghosting problems, in versions 2017-19). I presume that this is a direct result of a mis-specified graphics card, but would like other people's opinions if they have any thoughts on this, or are also experiencing the same issue with other cards.
I can see now that Autodesk has a list of 'tested' graphics cards, and this one does not comply with that list. Does anyone know when this list of tested cards was produced? I'm surprised I could not find this (or our IT guys) 5 months ago.
Any comments/help gratefully received. Thanks is advance!
Care to post a link to that list, so we're all looking at the same thing?
The Maxwell ("M") series is a little old at this point but should be functional, and the Quadro 2000's are good for anything except very "busy" models. It's likely you only need to update the drivers (check that they're properly installed, at least). Before updating, make sure you have installers for the current set of drivers, because you may need to roll back if it ends up worse than before or you need to do a clean install.
You might want to check the budget to see if there's room for an update to a Pascal ("P") series, either a 2000 or 4000. They're better performance for the cost, and more compatible with newer technologies, so you'll be a bit better future-proofed.
Hi dgorsman,
Yes, please see the list below. In 2017, this list is access via Revit - Options - Grahics - 'get information on supported hardware'

We have indeed updated the drivers but with no change sadly. Autodesk recommend the P series, just as you also advise. I think we will simply need to invest in better cards but will also check to see that these have been properly installed. Thanks very much for the advice!
