Got the "An unrecoverable error" message, but only for one user and one model

A user was working on a shared model when it crashed.  Now every time he tries to open it he gets the aforementioned error.  The weird thing is other people are able to open the central model without any trouble, and he's able to open other models without any trouble.  So far we've run an audit, tried creating a new user profile, and tried opening with worksets set to "all".  I can't seem to find this specific issue anywhere, so thought I'd ask here.  Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Have you tried creating a new local model from the central model for the user in the typical method?

Have you tried doing the above via another workstation with the end user name changed?

Get him to clean out his locals, his Temp files, his Recycle Bin, and then restart.
