Go to view section from plan view - Is there a way to reverse this?

Hello,

This is my first time posting. If you are in plan view and double click a section view or right click it, the software directly takes you to that section view. Is there way to go reverse in those actions?

I's like to be able to double click that section and automatically take me to that view in plan view sheet. It would actually be so useful.

Thanks for the insight!

David

How would this work?

A section usually cuts through several levels and each level can have several floor plans assigned to it.

Well, if that section only covers one level it can open up the floor plan
sheet and show the location of that section cut.
If the section cut shows many levels, then that command can open each floor
plan and show the location of the section cut in each floor plan.
I assume there is no way of doing this?

Don't have Revit open at the moment, but can't you Right-click on the Section Line and pick "Find Referring Views"?

Or maybe it's a right-click on the Crop Boundary.

Oh, and, BTW, this site is supposed to be for new Revit features. It's not a Help Desk.

For that, please visit one of the Revit Forums (AUGI, RFO, Autodesk Community)

Awesome sauce. That worked exactly how I wanted it to.
Quick question for a more experienced user, once it sends me back to plan
view, is there a way to have the selected section be more visible? Or maybe
have it zoom in to the location of such section?

@Anonymous What you're looking for is the add-in "Zoom to Selection" by BattleBIM. It'll zoom directly into your selection in the current view.

With the view open, right-click in the view > choose Find Referring Views. Examine each of the views in the list. You may have to use Reveal Hidden Elements if it has been hidden in any of them.
