Hi all. I searched the forum but didn't find anything. We are working with a structural engineer who apparently has a bad Autocad hangover. They work with a black background and assign all the different framing types to different colors, not to mention levels which are yellow, grids which are red etc. This makes them almost impossible to read when brought into our model, and even more when halftoned. Is there a way to instantly (or nearly so) convert the entire model to black and white? Or do we have to completely revamp the VG/view templates for all their elements (which is a ton of unproductive work)? TIA for any suggestions.

Do you know what method they are using to change the appearance? If they are using Object Styles (OS) then you shouldn't need to do much at all. Levels/Grids line color is defined in the type, not via OS so you'd need a Filter to override that appearance.

A filter can override both levels/grids. I make sure mine are named in a unique way so it is easy to isolate other grids/levels from mine with a Filter anyway to just turn them off since I rarely want to see theirs all the time anyway. In this case you can use an override to the color to make them black and/or turn them off entirely...with the same Filter.
